  • Midwest Fertilizer Company receives strong support from the State of Indiana for its state of the art fertilizer plant.

  • On January 25, 2016, Midwest Fertilizer Company announces entering into an EPC agreement to Build Indiana Fertilizer Manufacturing Facility.
  • On August 11, 2014 Rod Oglesby, VP of Operations and Bob Ellis, Construction Executive joined MFC, rounding out the leadership team to be in place at financial close.
  • On August 11, 2014 Midwest Fertilizer Corporation has been converted to Midwest Fertilizer Company LLC in preparation for the addition of joint venture partners.
  • On July 22, 2014 the Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers notified MFC that its projects are authorized under Indiana's Regional General Permit No. 1. This is the final pre-construction environmental permit required for the MFC project.
  • On June 4, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management approved MFC's air permit for New Source Construction and Title V facility Operating Permit.
  • Posey County Disaster Relief bonds of $1.259 billion for Midwest Fertilizer Company LLC (MFC) project were successfully re-marketed on April 10th 2014 to a call option through November 18th 2014.
  • Air permit application was filed on August 26, 2013. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management held its public hearing on February 26, 2014 in Mount Vernonand the air permitting process continues.
  • Other required permit applications have been filed and are being processed by the relevant authorities.
  • Negotiations are also going on with natural gas pipeline, off-takers and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, etc.
  • On December 20, 2013, MFC announced the selection of leading engineering and construction services provider KBR for the construction and technology services including KBR's globally renowned Purifier ammonia technology.

  • On December 17, 2013 MFC announced the selection of Jacobs Engineering as a project management consultant.

  • In Fall, 2013 MFC hired the following senior staff members;
    • Yasir Imtiaz - Controller
    • Geoff Gailey - Vice President of Human Resources
    • Les Wright - Chief Financial Officer
  • In December 2012, Midwest Fertilizer acquired options for 219acres of land for the facilityin Posey County, IN where infrastructure including rail, road and port etc. are already available. Subsequently MFC secured options on an adjacent land parcel of 38 acres.
  • The estimated project cost is US $ 2.4 billion and will provide employment opportunities to over 2,500 workers in a period of three years and as many as 200 permanent positions will also be created.
  • In October 2012, the state of Indiana was selected for the project Posey County as plant location.
  • MFC was incorporated in Delaware, USA in September 2012. It is supported by a global consortium of fertilizer manufacturing and technology companies.
