- We believe that all occupational injuries, illnesses and environmental incidents are preventable
- We will strive for zero incidents at work, at home and in the community
- We will implement, monitor, maintain, and comply with all regulated environmental requirements and will be stewards in our community for environmental excellence
- MFC will provide the leadership, resources, systems, training and practices to accomplish this goal
- MFC will rely on fully trained, empowered and accountable employees at all levels to
- engage in rigorous self-inspection,
- practice “Stop Work” Authority without hesitation,
- report incidents and share benefits from Health, Safety and Environmental Policy related learning opportunities be these incidents and/or experiences here or elsewhere,
- promote Health, Safety and Environmental Policy awareness on and off the job,
- anticipate and mitigate potential hazards,
- comply with all applicable regulations pertaining to Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
- recognize and reward exceptional HSE performance
- MFC will utilize U.S. OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and U.S. EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) standards as our framework for comprehensive risk management and operational excellence
- All MFC employees and contractors, suppliers and business associates are expected to put the safety of themselves, all others and the public above all other consideration as a condition of employment
